Coach Jen
Coach Jen - Aquatics Director and Head Coach of the Whitewaters Swim Team
Coach “Jen” Yingjuan Zhen started her successful coaching career in 2004 and has over 20 years of experience in swimming and top level coaching. She is an American Swimming Coach Association (ASCA) Level 4 USA Swimming Coach.
Coach Jen founded the Warriors Aquatics Club in 2015 and it grew quickly into one of the premier programs in the West Windsor-Plainsboro and Princeton, NJ areas.
As part of Whitewaters, a long standing prestigious Princeton area team, Coach Jen brings her years of experience to an established, successful swimming organization.
Her swimmers include numerous top 8 swimmers in New Jersey Junior Olympics, top 3 Swimmers at the Eastern Zones, top 8 swimmers at Speedo Sectionals, Qualifiers for Futures in Men's 100 Fly and 200 IM, Junior National qualifiers in Women's 100 and 200 Breaststroke, 100 Backstroke, 100 Freestyle, Women’s 4 x 100 Medley and Freestyle Relays, Senior National Women's 100 and 200 breaststroke , US open Women's 100 Breaststroke and Olympic Trial swimmers in Women's 100 Breaststroke.
Her swimmers have gone on to swim at prestigious universities such as Carnegie Mellon, Princeton, NYU and Cornell.
During her career as a swimmer Coach Jen competed in many world class &
international swimming competitions. She is a former Chinese National team
member and Olympian in the 2000 Sydney Olympic games. She ranked 1st place in world rankings by Fina in 100 and 200 backstroke in both 1997 and 1998.
Coach Jen had the honor of representing China at the world championships in Sydney in 1998. She also swam for China in 1999 at the prestigious World University Championships held in Spain.
In the United States Jen swam for
an NCAA Division I University swim team, becoming a top qualifier at the NCAA Division I Championships in 2003 and 2004. She also earned numerous titles in the West Coast Region on the US.
Coach Jen who is fluent in both English and Chinese lives in Lawrenceville,
NJ with her husband “Coach Han” and two children. She enjoys working with
swimmers of all ages and takes pride in the progress and accolades they bring.

Coach Han is an ASCA Level 2 coach and a former member of the Chinese National and Olympics team (1995-2010) who participated in water polo at the 2008 Beijing Olympics
